Organized dentistry provides members with representation in legislative, regulatory and insurance concerns; upholds the image of the profession with the public; and serves as an information and educational resource for all members of the dental community.

QuitPlan easily connects patients to quit-smoking help
Oral health care professionals know tobacco use is one of the most significant contributing factors for both oral cancers and periodontal diseases. However, quitting tobacco isn’t easy. Now, connecting patients to services that can help them increase their odds of quitting is much easier. The Minnesota Clinic Fax Referral Program allows dental clinics to easily refer a patient to FREE tobacco cessation phone coaching support. Support is available to ALL Minnesotans whether or not they’re covered by a health plan.
2008 Legislative Initiatives
The MDA is actively engaged in key legislation that is of critical importance to the dental community. Of particular importance this session are bills focused on addressing the challenge of access to care in our state. Low-income and rural areas of our state are particularly underserved and the MDA’s plan looks at healthy solutions that would provide quality dental care to all Minnesotans.
