Give Kids a Smile
Celebrating 10 years, Give Kids a Smile is an annual charitable event that draws together thousands of dental professionals across the state to make sure low-income children get the smiles they deserve. The MDA warmly welcomes you to join this program, which takes place on Friday, Feb. 3, and Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012.
Check out the latest Give Kids a Smile newsletter to read how the program makes a life-changing impact on children and volunteers alike.
Along with the satisfaction of helping children protect and restore their dental health, volunteers are always gratified to see so many beautiful smiles. View some of those smiles on our Give Kids a Smile 2011 photo page. To get an overview of last year's event, click here.
Registration
It’s easy to get involved. Volunteers have four options:
All volunteers should take a few minutes today to register at regonline.com/gkas-mn.
Once you register, you will receive follow-up information from the MDA. If you choose to host an event at your clinic, you'll need some additional support and materials. Get started by visiting the Planning your Give Kids a Smile event page. If you have any questions, please contact us at gkas@mndental.org.
Lend a helping hand
To serve as many children as possible, several clinics need additional help from dental professionals on "Give Kids a Smile" days. Please post this flier to help inform colleagues about this volunteer opportunity.
Support from your Foundation
Each year, the Minnesota Dental Foundation provides grants to help offset costs of dental supplies needed by community-based clinics that host Give Kids a Smile events. Many of those clinics say they would not be able to participate without the Foundation’s support. Thank you!
Support from business partners
Thanks to 3M ESPE Dental Products and HealthPartners, the MDA is able to promote Give Kids a Smile to families across the state. Click here to learn more.
