Minnesota's dental access problem

Volunteer work is just one part of the solution

As you know, the Minnesota Dental Association and its member dentists are committed to making sure that every child has access to quality dental care. And, while volunteer outreach programs such as Give Kids a Smile are important, charity care is not a long-term solution. Your voice is important as the MDA helps guide the state to healthier public policy for dental access.

Remember to engage your local legislators in your Give Kids a Smile event. Use this sample Invitation Letter (link to document) as a starting point.

As a community member and spokesperson, you may find it helpful to use the MDA’s Talking Points (link to document) when talking with members of the Legislature and media.
