Northwest Dentistry Receives International College of Dentists 2008 Journalism Awards The Publications Committee of the Minnesota Dental Association is pleased to announce that Northwest Dentistry has been the recipient of two awards in the U.S.A. Section of the International College of Dentists Journalism 2008 Awards competition.
The article “Leadership: The Prerequisite to Prosperity” by Jason B. White (Northwest Dentistry, Volume 86, Number 1, January-February 2007, pages 37-40) has been named outstanding article in the Leadership category.
The article “Ergogenic Substance Abuse by Adolescent Athletes — Perspectives for Dental Practitioners” by Dennis N. Ranalli, D.D.S., M.D.S. (Northwest Dentistry, Volume 86, Number 5, September-October 2007, pages 14-20) has been selected to receive the Honorable Mention Golden Pen Award.
As stated on its website, “The International College of Dentists is recognized around the globe as the preeminent international dental organization.” One of the stated objectives of the College is “to advance the art and science of dentistry for the health and welfare of the public internationally.” Its mission is as follows:

These awards will be presented at the Annual Meeting of the American Association of Dental Editors on October 16, 2008 during the Annual Session of the American Dental Association in San Antonio, Texas.
