The Northwest Dentistry Editorial Advisory Board of the Minnesota Dental Association (formerly the MDA Publications Committee) is pleased to announce the following two awards: The International College of Dentists has selected the March-April 2011 cover of Northwest Dentistry for its Outstanding Cover of the Year Award. The winning image was a composite in support of the cover feature article “Incidence of Significant Findings on CBCT Scans of an Orthodontic Patient Population” by Benjamin Pliska, D.D.S., M.S., Mark DeRocher, and Brent E. Larson, D.D.S., M.S. (Northwest Dentistry, Volume 90, Number 2, pages 12-16). The award was presented to NWD Executive Editor Bill Stein at the American Academy of Dental Editors Conference in conjunction with the Annual Session of the American Dental Association in October.
Northwest Dentistry is proud to report that Dr. Jack Churchill, author of the “What’s a Dentist to Do?” reports from the MDA’s Committee on Ethics, Constitution and Bylaws during the 11- year period Dr. Churchill was Chair of that committee, have brought him the MDA President’s Award for “his years of service and dedication to the MDA”.
Well done, all.
