Long-time member of Minnesota’s dental community Patricia H. Glasrud died Saturday, March 8, 2014. Pat served dentistry in many capacities over her professional career. She was an investigator with the state Attorney General’s offi ce, Associate Professor and Assistant to the Dean of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Executive Director of the Minnesota State Board of Dentistry, and Director of Policy Development for the Minnesota Dental Association.
Most recently she had started Glasrud Dental Public Health Consulting. Pat graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1967, then from Onodaga Community College, Syracuse, New York, with an Associate’s degree in dental hygiene. In 1980, she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Public Health from Utica College of Syracuse University, followed in 1982 with a Master’s degree in Dental Public Health from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. She served on the boards of several organizations and was actively involved in her church and community.
“Pat Glasrud was a gracious and courageous lady,” said NWD Executive Editor Bill Stein. Her presence and her contribution to the profession in our state and beyond will be most sincerely missed.
