The Editors:

Cone bean computed tomography (CBCT) has become the standard of care when 3D radiographic images are required in dentistry. Dental patients can now be imaged in three dimensions at resolutions approaching a tenth of a millimeter, and as this tool transitions from cutting edge to standard of care in many areas of dentistry, clinicians will want and need to understand its implications in application, weighing its risks and benefits for each patient.  Join us for the discussion ~ the discovery has only just begun.
