Receive three (3) free core credits by attending the upcoming MDA Connection Conference on Friday, March 9th at the Ramada Plaza in Minneapolis, from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (a box lunch will be provided).
The semi-annual Connection Conferences have traditionally provided a forum for district leaders, committee chairs, and representatives of other dental specialty organizations to be updated on important initiatives occurring at the MDA. Last fall, in order to add value to membership, the MDA leaders decided to open this conference to the entire membership.
On March 9, Dr. Kimberly Harms will be speaking on “When the Pain is in the Brain.” Many of our most difficult office dilemmas are ultimately caused by grief, loss, emotional instability and depression. Dr. Harms will discuss how to treat patients whose real pain is suffered on the other side of the maxilla. She will cover the stages of grief and mourning and how to recognize and help patients (and staff) with multiple emotional needs. She will also discuss the dental ramifications of anti-depressants, anti-anxiety medications, and prescription pain medications.
