The MnMOM Task Force is excited to announce the opening of Volunteer Registration for the Minnesota Mission of Mercy to be held in Mankato, Minnesota at the Verizon Wireless Center on August 16-19, 2012. Treatment days will be Friday, August 17 and Saturday, August 18. Everyone on the Task Force has been working tirelessly to bring this amazing event to Minnesota, and you should be a part of it, too! The goal is to treat over 2,000 patients in two days, providing over $1 million dollars in care. With your help, that goal will be well within our reach. Even though this is the first MOM event held in Minnesota, it is anticipated that the 100,000th national MOM patient will be treated in Mankato!
For your convenience, you should sign up as soon as possible, as shifts will fill quickly. Early registration will guarantee you can work the days and times most acceptable to you. Efficiency is improved if you are able to work side-by-side with your own assistant, so please encourage your staff to join you on this great adventure. Also needed are hundreds of lay (non-dental) volunteers - your spouse and family (over the age of 18) are welcome to sign up, too. Make this an event for the entire office!
To begin your registration, go to www.mndental.org and click on “I am a Dentist.” At the top of the page you will find a link to the Mission of Mercy webpages. Once there, click on the Volunteer page to find the link to registration right at the top. You can go directly to MnMOM registration (bypassing the MDA website) by clicking here. At this time the registration link cannot be on the MDA home page, since care must be taken to not publicize the event to the public too soon, as patients might put off necessary dental care until August. Please help by letting potential volunteers know where to access the registration page.
Additional details will continue to be announced via the email address you use to register. The MnMOM Task Force thanks you for your continued support of this worthwhile and necessary project.
