We cordially invite you to attend Dental Day at the Capitol on Tuesday, February 21. It’s important that you attend this free event and take an active role in advancing legislation that directly impacts your practice and the dental profession!
The critical issues facing us this year include: Minnesota’s Mission of Mercy, dental laboratory registration and State health program transparency and accountability.
We will have a briefing session where we’ll introduce and clearly explain the major issues and our position on these issues and show you how easy it is to meet with your legislators. You will also have the opportunity to hear from legislators about the current session environment and expectations. After the morning session, you will have the opportunity to meet with your local legislator. We will arrange any legislative appointments for you.
The morning program begins at the Best Western Kelly Inn, 161 St. Anthony Avenue, in Saint Paul. The MDA will provide a continental breakfast and a lunch voucher, as well as all meeting materials. We will keep the event as short and as concise as possible to allow you more time to meet with your legislators. For those who live in the Twin Cities area, we can arrange the meetings to fit a half-day schedule, so you can practice in the afternoon.
Without firsthand input from dentists, legislators are unlikely to fully appreciate and understand your concerns. Join us in showing our strong and organized presence at the Capitol.
We look forward to seeing you on the 21st. If you have any questions, please contact MDA Government Affairs Director Laura Kramer by phone at (612) 767-8400, extension 105, or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
See you there!
