In a few days the Minnesota Department of Health will be conducting a well-designed study to learn about our state’s dental workforce needs. On October 17th 1,286 clinics (half of Minnesota’s 2,416 clinics) will receive a hard copy mailing containing the survey. It will be mailed to all rural Minnesota clinics and a random sample of urban clinics.
Anticipating an excellent response rate, the purpose of the study will show dental staffing patterns, shortages and needs of dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants. The survey itself will take only about 2-3 minutes to complete. A self-addressed envelope is included for your convenience. Please watch for this important mailing and take a few moments to complete the questions!
Aggregated survey results will be posted online at the Minnesota Department of Oral Health website, http://www.health.state.mn.us/oralhealth as soon as the study is finalized in a few weeks.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the survey director, Leslie Nordgren, Ph.D. at 651-201-3856 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
