Give Kids a Smile is an annual charitable event that draws together thousands of dental professionals across the state to put healthy smiles back on the faces of some of Minnesota’s most at-need children. This year’s dates are Feb. 7 and Feb. 8, 2014.
The MDA warmly thanks the more than 3,000 dental professionals – including 570 dentists – who delivered free care to 6,136 children in 203 locations across the state last year!

Are you ready to volunteer for Give Kids a Smile 2014? The event dates are Feb. 7 and 8. You have several options for getting involved. Learn more at the online registration site, found at regonline.com/gkas-mn.
If you will host an event for children at your own clinic, please spend some time exploring the “Planning your Give Kids a Smile event” page. In particular, be sure to thoroughly review all portions of the online Participation Kit. The Kit compiles 12 years of Give Kids a Smile know-how into a convenient resource for you. If you have additional ideas for planning an event, be sure to share them at email@example.com.
Along with the satisfaction of helping children protect and restore their dental health, volunteers are always gratified to see so many beautiful smiles. View some of those smiles on our Give Kids a Smile photo page. The program often receives statewide news coverage. Here is a sample.
Check out the latest Give Kids a Smile newsletter to read how the program makes a life-changing impact on children and volunteers alike.
Support from your Foundation
Each year, the Minnesota Dental Foundation provides grants to help offset costs of dental supplies needed by community-based clinics that host Give Kids a Smile events. Many of those clinics say they would not be able to participate without the Foundation’s support. Thank you!
