Morning Program

Jerry Cook, DMD

“DOWN TO THE ROOT: NAVIGATING THE DEPTHS OF ENDODONTIC DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT”

This presentation will enhance the dentist’s understanding of a variety of endodontic challenges. It is meant to be interactive, allowing participants to discuss specific issues they’ve encountered. Topics to be addressed include:

    • Files, sealers and irrigants: Does it matter what I use?
    • Endodontic anomalies- diagnostic dilemmas, complex situations
    • Management of traumatic injuries: Diagnosis, treatment and prognosis
    • Resorption: What is going on? Can and should this be treated?
    • Crown & Root fractures: Now what? Diagnosis, treatment and prognosis.
    • Open discussion of topics of interest or specific cases.
    • Regenerative Endodontics: What is it and what role can it play in patient care?

Dr. Cook grew up on a family farm in southeastern Idaho.  He received his Associate’s degree from Ricks College and his Bachelor’s degree from Idaho State University.  In 2000, he graduated from Oregon Health and Sciences University School of Dentistry in Portland, Oregon. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in Norfolk, Virginia prior to practicing general dentistry with the U.S. Navy for 3 years in Keflavik, Iceland.  He received his certificate in Endodontics from the University of Maryland in 2006, prior to entering private practice in Fargo, North Dakota, where he started Cook Endodontics. With the addition of other doctors, the practice name was changed to Core Endodontics.
