COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is approved for healthcare providers, students and team members in dental/healthcare clinical settings. The course equips participants with the knowledge and skills to quickly assess/recognize and care for cardiac arrest, provide high-quality CPR, and use an AED to optimize patient outcomes. Designed for both in-hospital and out-of-hospital healthcare clinicians, this training is consistent with the 2025 evidence-based science guidelines and covers adult, child and infant CPR and AED; additional life-threatening emergencies including respiratory arrest, cardiac arrest care, choking emergencies, opioid overdose, and more.
THIS IS A BLENDED/HYBRID LEARNING COURSE
To earn an American Red Cross Basic Life Support certificate, valid for two years, participants must successfully complete the online course final exam and demonstrate competency during hands-on skills practice and testing scenarios.
