MINNESOTA DENTAL FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

Volunteers are central to the vision and mission of the Minnesota Dental Foundation. When you volunteer your time and expertise to the Minnesota Foundation, you are helping thousands of children and adults in Minnesota access much-needed dental care.

The Minnesota Dental Foundation is looking for individuals interested in serving on the Board of Directors for a three-year term beginning in September 2020. We rely on those with the skills, passion, and varied perspectives to build a forward-thinking, inclusive, and strategic governing Board of Directors.

Not sure if you’d like to serve on the Board of Directors, but would like to get involved? Email our staff contact and we can provide more details and answer any additional questions you may have.

Summary of the Roles

The role of every board member is threefold; to approve organizational direction, ensure necessary resources are available for the various Foundation programs, and provide oversight. Serving on the board is both an honor and a compliment to you as a professional. The qualities sought after in board members are the desire to ask powerful questions, to listen for understanding, to gauge what and when to probe and to appreciate conversation over conflict.

Time Expectations

The Board of Directors generally meet four times a year for approximately two hours. The meetings take place at the MDA Offices in Minneapolis. We do ask that board members volunteer at one or more of the various events of the Foundation.
