About the Speaker

Dr. Van Hoof is currently a private practice oral surgeon in Appleton, Wisconsin. He obtained his DDS degree from Marquette University in 2016 and was a recipient of an Air Force Health Professions Scholarship. After graduation, he completed a one-year advanced general dentistry residency (AEGD) at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska.

While serving as an officer in the USAF, Dr. Van Hoof completed a four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the San Antonio Military OMS Program. This program is affiliated with Brooke Army Medical Center, the largest and busiest military hospital in the Department of Defense. His training included dentoalveolar surgery, anesthesia, maxillofacial trauma and reconstruction, orthognathic surgery, pathology, temporomandibular joint surgery, and cosmetics.

Following his OMS residency, Dr. Van Hoof was assigned to Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany where he was one of two oral surgeons tasked with providing Maxillofacial Support to Europe, Africa, and portions of Asia. While stationed there he maintained a full scope practice out of Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, the largest military hospital outside of the US, performing combat and non-combat related surgeries. After 10 years of military service Dr. Van Hoof separated from the Air Force and returned to Wisconsin to raise his family and provide care to those in his hometown.

Dr. Van Hoof is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He holds active membership in the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, AO Craniomaxillofacial, and the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
