Afternoon Program
“Excellence in Clinical Documentation: Standards, Coding, and Care”
Course Description: In modern practice, patient records serve many purposes. They serve as the foundation for high-quality care, provide defense against complaints, and play an important role in risk management, among many other things. This course takes a deep look at Minnesota’s Record Keeping Rule 3100.9600 and explains why accurate, thorough documentation is a necessary component of practice. It also examines the links between progress notes and CDT code selection, reimbursement, and third party audits.
Designed for the entire clinical and administrative team, this course offers real-life examples and best practices to minimize practice liability, enhance patient care, and maintain consistent standards across your practice.
Presenter: Dr. Kacie Woodis

Presenter Bio: Dr. Kacie Woodis is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where she works closely with students in the clinic and teaches classes on dental documentation, coding, and billing. She also shares her expertise by leading faculty development sessions on these topics. A proud graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Dr. Woodis combines her academic training and real-world experience to support both student learning and the growth of best practices in dental education and administration.
