Striving Toward Conservative Treatment in Endodontics

Thursday, March 26, 2026 | 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Endodontics is shifting toward more and more conservative treatment styles in an effort to better restore and maintain compromised teeth. Root fractures, complex canal anatomy, recurring or persisting endodontic infections, snap offs, flareups and perforations are all long-standing challenges that clinicians have had and continue to face. Improvements are being made to address these problems. In this course we will review the evolving philosophies and technologies that are challenging conventional approaches to endodontic access preparation, root canal instrumentation, and even the need for complete pulpal debridement in select cases.

Course Goals:

  • Understand benefits and types of newer endodontic irrigation techniques
  • Understand the indications for and clinical process for vital pulp therapy
  • Learn some practical methods that can be utilized in a general dental setting for achieving conservative accesses.
