We invite you to join us for an evening of beer and politics. You will have the opportunity to hear from MDA’s new contract lobbyist, Kevin Goodno, and MDA Government Affairs Manager Carissa Kemp.

They will be discussing the 2020 legislative session and you will have the chance to find out how you can get more involved with what is happening at our State Capitol.

Most importantly, Kevin and Carissa want to hear from you. You will have the opportunity to share with Kevin and Carissa what barriers you continue to face in your profession.

Chili Lime Taco Truck will be outside – grab some food and join us for interesting conversation. Members RSVP’ing will receive two beverage tokens (good for beer, soda, or waters).

Meet the Speakers

Kevin Goodno is an attorney with the law firm of Fredrikson & Byron P.A., heading its Government Relations Department and serving as Chair of the firm’s Board of Directors. Before joining Fredrikson, he served as the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Human Services for almost four years, in the Minnesota House of Representatives for twelve years and has private sector experience including practicing business and employment law with a Moorhead law firm and owning and operating a retail business.

Carissa Kemp is the Government Affairs Manager for the Minnesota Dental Association. She comes to the MDA with experience working in state government, campaigns, and state legislature. Carissa has her Master of Public Policy from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota.
