Watch this video from our 2012 MnMOM and see what volunteering is all about!
Volunteer registration is now open for the 2013 Mission of Mercy in Bemidji. Volunteers are the heart of MnMOM - we could not have this event without you! Be sure to invite your friends, family and co-workers to join you. We need over 1,200 volunteers for a successful event and there are jobs for dental professionals and non-dental personnel. If you would like to find out more detail about specific positions, please see the job description tab. We also require that volunteers be 18 years of age or older and that they are willing to smile and have fun!
The Sanford Center is located at 1111 Event Center Drive, Bemidji, MN, 56601. Parking is free. The main entrances to the Sanford Center parking lots are off of 1st St. NE (which is south of the Hampton Inn and the Holiday gas station). The event planners encourage volunteers to use the east-most access drive off of 1st. NE. It will be marked conspicuously for volunteers. Patients will be encouraged by signs to access the parking lot using the west-most drive. The Volunteer Entrance and Registration Desk are on the east side of the Sanford Center, i.e., the back. Signs will guide you there. There will be a drop-off table for volunteer supplies and equipment near the Volunteer Entrance. There is a small parking area on the east end of the building, but event organizers want to reserve that area for volunteers who are less mobile. So, volunteers who have dropped off supplies and equipment and are able bodied should proceed back to the west lot to park. View a map of The Sanford Center.
The daily schedule provides a general summary of what to expect each day at MnMOM. Please also note what to bring and meal information. The patient flow lets you know the route patients should take from one station to another, from registration to exit and education.

The MDA recently sent a press release to media in northern Minnesota informing them about MnMOM coming to Bemidji. But there is still more to do! Help us reach media and possible patients in your community by sending a press release to your local media outlet or posting or handing out premade fliers (flyer 1; flyer 2). To make it easy, we've created a press release template for you to use - just fill in your name as a volunteer! Thank you for your help.
