A Lot Has Changed

DDS program volunteers needed

The DDS (Donated Dental Services) program provides comprehensive dental care to those who are disabled or who are elderly or medically fragile and cannot afford the needed dental care. It also provides services to veterans. It is a program of Dental Lifeline Network (DLN) and has been in Minnesota since 2003. Approximately 420 Minnesota dentists provide the needed care in their own offices. Specialty care is provided and all necessary lab work – crowns, bridges, dentures, etc. – is provided free by the labs. In 2022, Minnesota celebrated providing $15 million in free dental care.

Volunteer dentists generally see only one or two patients per year. About 200 patients are on the waiting list and it’s real easy to sign up to participate.

Watch the video below to see the impact the that DDS program has on providers and patients.
